Wheeling, IL – Waldmann North America announces the release of MICRO and PIKO luminaires available for both suspended and ceiling applications. The MICRO’s MD optic delivers highly-efficient illumination by micro downlight reflectors with complex surface geometry and precise shaping of the light beam. Similarly, the PIKO optic made of PMMS and retracted from the surface of the luminaire, emits light through the perforation on the surface making the light source invisible and providing optimal visual comfort. Both STARLINE™ optics balance the intensity of the downlight while maintaining an impressive command on glare control (UGR<13), making these fixtures ideal for an office setting, conference room or lobby.
The striking design and sleek surface of the MICRO and PIKO suspended luminaires in a 1.8”W/19.7”H profile made of extruded aluminum tube, coupled with the glare-free customizable light options give any space a stylized and elegant ambiance. Available in black, gray and white epoxy powder coating blends seamlessly with surrounding décor or architecture. Custom colors are also available upon consulting factory.
A flexible offering of beam angles and color temperatures (3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 2700-6500K with tunable option) allow for customization of the lighting application. Both luminaires also share the added benefit of 50,000 hours of maintenance-free operation that today’s premium LEDs offer. The standard models are available with 0-10V lighting control, LUM CONNECT VTL can be implemented for biodynamic lighting and other controls systems are also available.
